Sandbanks Peninsula is also home to some of the best beaches in the UK which have received blue flag status for their cleanliness. On the south-west point of the peninsula the Sandbanks chain ferry runs on a daily basis taking you across the inlet of Poole Harbour across to Shell Bay with road access to Swanage and the Purbecks. Sandbanks has also been the feature of a number of television programs including Piers Morgan on Sandbanks and recently reported in the press that the stars of The Only Way Is Essex are coming to Sandbanks for a fashion show. Stars of the show Mark Wright, Lydia Bright, and Amy Childs are some of the cast who will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk in June. The location is yet to be revealed but it is certain to attract some of the biggest crowds of the summer to Sandbanks.
